HARDCORE CAMARADERIE

Some of the stuffs I've got from the last show I've attended (NCI'S YEAR END SHOW). All reviews will be included on the fourth issue of RTC which I am planning to release on February next year. I hope all things goes well. Be on the lookout homes and sis. Aight!

It has a good Biofeedback interview.
Great debut issue can't wait for the second one.
America is evil.
Revolution now.
"We never claimed we're the good guys."
Cool grindcore man. Technical but not technical got my grip? There's an old fashioned style feel into it. Too bad there's no lyrics sheet but it's not a big deal though.
I've already gave this a review in RTC #3. I am still happy got my own personal copy. Superb metalcore to the max.
I've got a copy of this when I traded zine with the editor of Believe.
Ha, finally got a copy of this with different version of cover. Thanks Mic.

NCI'S YEAR END SHOW

It's been two weeks since my last post. Got some photos in here from the gig last Sunday. I had a great time in there. There were no hassles the environment was pure hardcore camaraderie. It feels like I am in utopia. No politics or anything like that. I didn't get the chance to watch the whole line up of bands in the gig because I was busy talking to people making new friendship and talking to old acquaintances and old friends. Much props to Banjo. Chill ese aight. Shout out to Jep Peligro, Sannee Crapsalad, and Jay Aspire finally meeting them. To the whole crew of Rush IxDx for dedicating a song for me much appreciated. Hardcore for the Hardcore right!?!I have also got some cool stuffs from that gig. I am going to post it in here later.

PIRATE DVD: INCEPTION

It's been four months since my last post of pirated dvd. Anyway I finally got the chance to watch this film. I've got my copy courtesy of my brother and he bought this at Hidalgo, Quiapo. The quality is clear and has the exact subtitles which is good for an easy viewing. I watched this two times in a row. Why? Because I got really confused on the ending of the story. I didn't grasp it immediately what it meant. It seems director Christopher Nolan leaves us to make our own interpretation where and how it really ends. By the second time I know clearly enough the ending and all the confusion I've felt at first has all gone. This movie is mind stimulator even though it is a typical con/heist film but in a different twist.

SEXXX TAPES

Another batch of tapes from Sexxx Tapes again out of Chicago. It seems Chicago have a good DIY hardcore scene.

FRANKENJEW RECORDS

Cool stuffs I've got from Frankejew Records out of Chicago.

I REMEMBER HALLOWEEN #5/INCIDENTAL AFTERTHOUGHT #13 split zine

Finally got a copy of this. Highly recommended in my opinion. The praises and kisses will be on the fourth issue of RTC. I just love these zines I don't know what to say.

DISPATCHES #1 & 2

Editor JD and I met yesterday to make trade of our zines and he treat me with coffee. We talked a lot of stuffs and plan something to be reckon with. It's a surprise. That plan was fueled with San Miguel Grande we drunk last night in Andoks. Cool. He also invited me to write some stuff for the third issue of Dispatches. What an honor. Thanks man. I really appreciate it.

BLANK TAPES

I have seven copies of these blank tapes I bought in Grand Central for only ten pesos. My trip to these tapes is to record something on it what I did was to connect my tape player in my computer then dub some of the mp3's I have. Instead of burning it to CDR I use these tapes. It's far out right but I like it tapes are cool man. To my surprise it has a good quality as long as you have a quality tape player. Now I am still hunting for some cheap quality blank tapes I can snatch and maybe I will do some mixtapes.

BULLDOZED "Demo 97"

This was the sound of hardcore at that time. It represents that hardcore is a street wise thing. Just pure fucking hatred. No holds barred anger on the living conditions we have in the Philippines. It shows on the raw recording but it is still listenable. I practically lived by this tape mesmerized by the sheer sound that's coming out on the speaker and fast forward it is 2010 now and listening to it again it's still relevant the music, the lyrics still holds the significance of it. You may agree or disagree. How can you match the term "demonyo murder gangcore" or "demonyo gang murder core" and it was a Bulldozed thing. I think Still Ill tapes will release this on a pro-printed way so be on the lookout. I can't wait for that.

REAL TIGHT CREW VERSION 2.0

If I am not mistaken we have 22 local cats here in our house as pets. We also have one local dog. My mother has a soft spot when it comes to animals. She really is a pet lover. We feed them boiled fish (pinakulong galunggong) and I am the one in charge for that to give them food two times a day. You may wonder it's a lot of cats right yes sometimes it gets messy inside the house but it's all good we love them anyway.

I REMEMBER HALLOWEEN

review taken from RTC #2 I REMEMBER HALLOWEEN #1, 2, 3...For me I honor I.R.H. as a staple zine in our local scene. The highlight for issue number one for me is the interview of Chris Dodge. I am a fan. It’s nice to read the humble answers of Chris. The second one is the interview with Devon of Conquest For Death. I would never get to know he has a new band if not for this feature. For the second and third issue there is a Bystorm and Choke Cocoi tour diary. An enjoyable memoir for both bands sharing their experiences having the chance to go outside the country to promote their music and enthusiasm for the hardcore punk scene. This is a great achievement for them and also for the whole local underground movement putting our country on the hardcore punk map.I urge you to take hold all the copies of IRH for a near sum up of how superior this zine really is, to seize the spontaneous devotion of Dane.
 _____________________________________________________________________________

review taken from RTC #3: I REMEMBER HALLOWEEN #4 Another tight issue for IRH. It’s just keeps getting better and better. This is the end result having lots of enthusiasm and passion to our hardcore scene. I like the Omerta interview because I am keeping an eye for this local hardcore band. The Staid interview is short but it’s nice knowing that Raymond is still up screaming his guts out again with a new unit and sharing again his great lyrics to us and still jumping around to youthcrew hardcore style. Let’s fucking go! There are foreign interviews with Kah-Roe-Shi, Thou, Protestant and Fight Amp. Also an old reprinted interview with Requiem. All in all this is good stuff. I guess Dane is already overwhelmed by the praises he’s getting right now. But hey it’s all you’re going to get for doing a great job. Keep it up man.

GINSBERG: A BIOGRAPHY BY BARRY MILES

Finally I finished reading this overwhelming 500 pages biography by Allen Ginsberg. Another gem I've got from Booksale. Before I just know his name from a Sonic Youth song Hits For Sunshine from the album A Thousand Leaves. This book is a great a help for anyone who is interested to Allen Ginsberg. Here is a quote from the pages that would best sum up what this book and Allen Ginsberg is all about: For Ginsberg poetry, philosophy, political action and personal expression go hand in hand. His biggest battles have been with society and with himself. His entire career, as lived in public and documented in his poetry and journals, has been a struggle to explore and express his own awareness, and to protect the right of others to do the same. His is a fight for life, for individual freedom, against the incursions of social forces.

PRESERVING SILENCE DISTRO

AJ of Path To Misery blogspot has a distro of mostly 90's hardcore called Preserving Silence. Because of the post he has in his blog about the band Between Earth & Sky I've contact him about it and he immediately answer my e-mail and he even post something about my blogspot too which is really cool. So in return I am posting some information about his distro. I've visited his webstore and there are interesting stuff in there. For those of you who has a lot money go check it out. Path To Misery is not only a blogspot but also a metallic hardcore band which AJ is also a part of it.

some info taken from his blog: I've basically spent any free time I've had on the internet for the past month working on getting my distro hosted on a webstore. I posted nearly 1000 CDs up so I think you should go check it out and spread the word for me if possible. I have a lot of cool shit up that I always have people asking about purchasing ... so go take a look...go order something from the webstore. Shipping is only $2 for the first disc and then only $1 for each disc after that. For international orders it is only $4 for the first disc and then $1 for each disc afterwards. Used CDs are all $5 or less!!!

BETWEEN EARTH AND SKY

I've just discovered this from Path To Misery blogspot. I've stumbled upon this blogspot long time ago and I've been a reader since then. From there I've come across about this new band of Greg Bennick (Trial) et. al. I've known him not personally but through the pages of Inside Front from his columns and reviews in there. Also an interview from an old local fanzine called Step Forward. For a great info about this visit Path To Misery. I also just googled if there is a downloadable material from them to my surprise there is a three song demo. And if you play it with windows media player there is an accompanying lyrics to every song. I wish I could make a correspondence with him.

Here is the download link for the demo that I found in google:
